| Moor View Touring Park is surrounded by beautiful countryside with enchanting views towards Dartmoor close to the South Devon coast. Owners Liz and Edward have created an adult only rural retreat where guests enjoy excellent facilities and features often only found on larger caravan sites. Moor View is ideally situated for exploring Dartmoor, glorious South Devon beaches and the tiny hamlets and picture-postcard villages of the South Hams. | ||||

Park Facilities Moor View offers everything you would expect of a 4 star touring park plus a few extras to make your stay a little nicer. Each of our caravan and motorhome pitches are ‘double hard-standings’ with electric hook-up, fresh water tap and grey-waste hook-up. So no need to carry water and there’s plenty of room for your awning. You can choose one of three pitch sizes for your unit up to the maximum 28ft long. We have a separate camping field for tents. Immaculate grounds, mature trees and shrubs give Moor View it’s garden atmosphere. You can stay with us at any time of the year and appreciate the heated park building which includes a washing-up area and fully equipped laundry. There’s plenty of hot water and our large, luxury showers are free. At Moor View everything is kept lovely and clean. |

Pets are welcome at Moor View. We are a dog friendly site with an extensive exercise area. Our on-park shop sells fresh milk, eggs from the local farm and newspapers to order. We keep a few caravan essentials and Calor Gas. Just minutes away is an excellent Spar/Garage open 6.00am-10.00pm where you will find a full range of groceries and drinks. Just five minutes walk away, The California Country Inn serves first-rate bar food or you can treat yourself in the inn’s very good separate restaurant. You can book your visit anytime by selecting our on-line booking system. We look forward to welcoming you at Moor View; the rural retreat with the personal touch. |

Whats on nearby Fishing, horse-riding, golf, surfing, sailing, swimming pool & leisure centre, cinemas and theatres are all convenient from Moor View. Whether you like to walk, cycle or drive, Devon’s South Hams offer diverse scenery and attractions within a short distance. You can see Dartmoor National Park a few miles away. 365 square miles of high tors, remote paths, stunning views and open pasture where sheep, cattle and ponies roam free. Moorland gives way to lush rolling hills, wooded river valleys and long sea inlets, ideal for fishing and boating. Kingsbridge and Salcombe are attractive harbour resorts with National Trust properties nearby. The best way to enjoy the diversity of our glorious South Devon coast is to follow the South West Coast Path a few miles from Moor View. It leads you to gems of unspoiled coves and beaches. Wonwell Beach, the River Erome estuary and Mothecombe beach are perfect. Bigbury-on-Sea, is famous for its Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, only accessible by tractor at high tide. |

A trip along Start Bay from Slapton Sands to the historic Naval town at Dartmouth is a great day out. The river is always busy with boats and ferries crossing to Kingswear. Dart Valley steam trains operate from Kingswear to Paignton and Buckfastleigh to Totnes. The seafaring city of Plymouth is less than half an hour from Moor View. You can watch the ships come and go from the Hoe, stroll across the marina to the National Marine Aquarium or catch up on retail therapy in the many shopping Malls. A Tamar River trip takes you past Mount Edgecombe gardens and the Dockyards to the Devon border with Cornwall. Wherever you do decide to explore, call in at a country pub or cottage cafe. You’ll receive a warm welcome in a setting of unique and real character where most of the food and drink will be locally produced. |

How to find us From the North and East: Join the A38 towards Plymouth. Leave the A38 at Wrangaton Cross signed Modbury & Ermington A3121. Moor View is signposted left at the top of the slip road. Proceed one mile to the crossroads (Kittaford Cross).Go straight across, (ignore the right turn to Modbury). Follow the road for about four miles, passing the petrol station and pub at California Cross. Leaving the village, the road bears around to the right. Look for the Moor View entrance on the left within a quarter of a mile. From the South and West: Take the A38 from Plymouth towards Exeter. After approx 15 miles, leave the A38 at the South Brent exit. Take the right hand lane to turn right at the bottom of the slip road, passing underneath the A38 and rejoin the west bound carriageway. After a quarter of a mile take the left turn towards Modbury and Ermington on the A3121, then follow the instructions above. |
