| Back-of-Beyond is a relaxed, adult-only touring park set in 30 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside. Owners Mel and Sue have laid out just 80 pitches in all this space so that guests can enjoy the woods, heathland, lakes and country pursuits. Everything about Back-of-Beyond is welcoming and very well cared for. The park is ideal to visit the New Forest, Jurassic Coast, Poole Harbour, Bournemouth and Christchurch. It is also the ideal country retreat to return to in the evening. | |||

Park Facilities Back-of-Beyond Touring Park is set back from the road amongst woods, heathland, lakes and river habitats that support many small wild animals, deer and spectacular birdlife. Touring caravans, motorhomes, RV’s and tents are all welcome and you can usually choose your own pitch. Caravan pitches are level, mostly grass, though very firm. All pitches have 10A electric hook-up with fresh water taps and waste water drains at frequent intervals. We also have a beautiful woodland glade, Emmasfield, which is for campers who want to get closer to the wildlife, though dogs are not permitted in this glade of course. |

The park has three fully heated, high quality toilet and shower blocks with power-showers ladies strip-wash cubicle, private/disabled shower room, hand-dryers, hairdryers and all the usual equipment. Everything is free to use, open 24 hours and kept very clean. Reception keeps a few essentials including gas, and you can order newspapers and fresh morning bakery. For other supplies, supermarkets and camping/caravan centres are close-by. We can help with lots of touring information and you can borrow a book from our small library. Quiet, well behaved dogs are welcome. They must be on-lead in the main park but can run free over 10 acres of woodland within secure park boundaries. |

Now there are a few country pursuits to keep you occupied on the park. The pitch & putt course is about half a mile long - if you laid the holes end to end. Rabbits, moles and squirrels just add to the challenge. Then there’s the Boule pitch. Both are free to use and we’ll lend you the clubs and balls. Lake and river fishing is free on the site, and just for fun. Both waters can produce fine catches so don’t forget to bring your licence. For the dedicated angler, the Stour, Avon and specialist fisheries are a short drive or walk. At the end of another great day in the country, you will find two pleasant hostelries serving refreshments and food within a comfortable walk of Back-of-Beyond Touring Park. |
